DSIP
Peptides
Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a natural substance that helps control sleep, stress, and pain. People use it to improve deep sleep, handle stress better, and feel more relaxed. It has been studied as a possible treatment for sleep problems like insomnia and for helping with some kinds of long-term pain. DSIP might also help with mood, making it useful for improving sleep and overall well-being.
How it works:
DSIP affects the brain and body to regulate sleep by working with chemicals like serotonin and melatonin. It helps you fall into deep, restful sleep and may improve how well you stay asleep. DSIP also lowers stress by reducing a hormone called corticotropin, which is involved in the stress response. It may also trigger the release of endorphins, which are natural pain relievers and can boost mood.
How to use it:
Dosing for Sleep: DSIP is usually taken in doses of 100-300 micrograms before going to bed to improve sleep.
How Long to Use It: DSIP can be used for long periods, but it’s common to take it for 4-6 weeks with breaks to keep it working well.
Benefits:
Better Sleep: DSIP helps people sleep deeply, improving overall sleep quality.
Less Stress: It reduces stress hormones, making it easier to handle stressful situations.
Pain Relief: DSIP may help with pain by working with the brain and releasing endorphins.
Improved Mood: Some people feel happier and more balanced due to DSIP’s effect on mood chemicals.
Support for Sleep Disorders: People with trouble sleeping, like those with insomnia, often use DSIP to help them sleep more naturally.
Potential Side Effects:
Drowsiness: DSIP can make you sleepy, so it's best to take it before bed.
Grogginess: Some users might wake up feeling groggy, especially if they take too much. Lowering the dose can help.
Headaches: Mild headaches can happen, but drinking plenty of water and lowering the dose can prevent this.
My Experience:
I have only used DSIP a handful of times but I have really been enjoying it. I currently use the nasal spray version but injectable is also good from what I have heard anecdotally. I usually do 3 sprays in each nostril which brings me to a total dose of 300 mcg before bed. After I have used it for a few more weeks, I will make this more in depth.
